Who This Plan Is For

This 12-week plan is designed for students targeting a 150-250 point improvement on the Digital SAT. You should be starting from a baseline score (taken from a full diagnostic practice test) and have a clear target in mind. The plan assumes 8-12 hours of study per week, broken into 4-5 sessions.

If your score gap is smaller (under 100 points), you can compress this into 6-8 weeks. If it's larger (300+), extend to 4-5 months and spend extra time on Weeks 1-4.

Weeks 1-3: Diagnostic and Foundation

Week 1: Take a full-length, timed practice test. Score it and analyze every wrong answer by category. Identify your three weakest question types in each section.

Week 2-3: Build content foundations. For Math, review the core topics where you lost points — typically algebra, advanced math, or geometry. For Reading/Writing, practice passage annotation and elimination strategy. Study 5-6 days per week, alternating sections.

Take a second practice test at the end of Week 3 to measure early progress.

Weeks 4-6: Targeted Skill Building

This is where focused drilling happens. Spend 60% of your time on your weaker section and 40% on your stronger section. Use official College Board practice questions and organize by question type, not by full practice tests.

Complete 20-30 targeted questions per session, then spend equal time reviewing your errors. The review is more valuable than the practice itself — understanding why you got something wrong prevents the same mistake on test day.

Practice test at end of Week 6.

Weeks 7-9: Strategy and Pacing

By now your content knowledge should be solid. Shift focus to test-taking strategy: time management, question triage (knowing when to skip and come back), and managing the adaptive module structure.

Practice full timed sections and track your pacing. Can you finish Module 1 with time to review flagged questions? Are you rushing the last 5 questions of Math? Identify timing issues and build strategies around them.

Practice test at end of Week 9.

Weeks 10-11: Full Test Simulation

Take two more full practice tests under exact test-day conditions — same time of day, same break structure, same device. Your scores on these tests are the best predictor of your actual performance.

Between tests, do targeted review only on the question types that are still costing you points. This is not the time to learn new content — it's time to polish what you know.

Week 12: Taper and Test Day Prep

Reduce study volume to 4-5 hours total. Do light review of your strongest strategies and most common error patterns. No new practice tests — you don't want a bad practice score shaking your confidence.

The night before: review your strategy notes, set alarms, prepare your test day materials. Get 8 hours of sleep. You've put in the work — trust the process.

Christopher Hernandez, the founder of Amikka Learning, couldn't afford expensive SAT tutoring so he spent hundreds of hours studying on his own.

After improving over 400 points and attending an Ivy League school he realized how unfair the playing field was with tutoring: no matter how smart you were, if you couldn't afford tutoring you were stuck.
His dream was to change this.

He began tutoring for the SAT and quickly realized that he was a gifted tutor. His students were loving his program and improving very fast.

Fast forward 8 years, Amikka is a leader in the education industry and has helped thousands of students get into their dream schools.
