The University of Central Florida is one of the largest and most popular universities in the state, and its acceptance rate reflects growing competitiveness. For the 2025-2026 admissions cycle, UCF's acceptance rate sits around 30 to 35%, down from previous years as application volume continues to climb.
UCF received over 75,000 applications for its most recent freshman class, making it one of the most applied-to schools in the country. While the overall acceptance rate may seem moderate, certain programs like Engineering, Computer Science, and Nursing are significantly more competitive.
The middle 50% of admitted UCF students score between 1140 and 1320 on the SAT. A 1200 SAT score puts you right in the sweet spot, while scoring above 1300 makes you a strong candidate for merit scholarships. The average SAT score of admitted students has been trending upward each year.
